The music of Guyana, like its culture, is a rich mixture of many different flavors. 

Guyanese music fuses Indian, Spanish, African and European and Amerindian elements.

The main genres include Shanto, Calypso, Chutney-Soca and Reggae.

 

Guyana also has a rich legacy of musical legends including Eddy Grant, Terry Gajraj, Dave Martins & the Tradewinds, Aubrey Cummings, Shameer Rahman and the Trinidadian chutney singer Ravi Bissambhar.
